Vasiliy Osmakov was Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation from 2016 to 2021. He has been the First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade since 2021. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is the federal executive body responsible for the development of state policy and legal regulation in the field of, inter alia, the military-industrial complex, space activities and the development of aviation technology. The Ministry supervises Russia’s weapons and defence industry and plays a crucial role in procuring military equipment used in Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. In his capacity as Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, he is responsible for actions and activities of the Ministry that undermine and threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, and he is a natural person supporting the Government of the Russian Federation, which is responsible for the annexation of Crimea and the destabilisation of Ukraine.

Vasiliy Osmakov a été vice-ministre de l’industrie et du commerce de la Fédération de Russie de 2016 à 2021. Il est premier vice-ministre de l’industrie et du commerce depuis 2021. Le ministère de l’industrie et du commerce est l’organisme exécutif fédéral chargé de l’élaboration de la politique de l’État et de la réglementation juridique, entre autres, dans le domaine du complexe militaro-industriel, des activités spatiales et du développement des technologies aéronautiques. Le ministère supervise l’industrie russe de l’armement et de la défense et joue un rôle crucial dans l’acquisition des équipements militaires utilisés dans la guerre d’agression menée par la Russie contre l’Ukraine. En sa qualité de vice-ministre de l’industrie et du commerce, Vasiliy Osmakov est responsable d’actions et activités du ministère qui compromettent et menacent l’intégrité territoriale, la souveraineté et l’indépendance de l’Ukraine et il est une personne physique soutenant le gouvernement de la Fédération de Russie, qui est responsable de l’annexion de la Crimée et de la déstabilisation de l’Ukraine.
