The owner and commercial manager of the vessel is a sanctioned russian company JSC GTLК (TIN 7720261827), which is the largest leasing company of aviation, water, railway, urban passenger transport in russia, included in the list of systemically important organizations of the russian economy and controlled by the ministry of transport of the russian federation. In April 2023, USA imposed sanctions on vessels (including ІМО 9942392) associated with GTLК and its CEO, Ditrikh Yevgeniy Ivanovich. The vessel is involved in the transportation of cargo between russia and Iran via the Caspian sea. Since October 24, 2025, the EU has imposed sanctions on the vessel.
