Artyom Vladimirovich ZHOGA

Function: Chairman of the so-called “People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic”; Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Urals Federal District, Previous Commander of the Sparta Battalion

Artem Zhoga has been the Chairman of the so-called “People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic” since 20 September 2023 and the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Urals Federal District since 2 October 2024. From May 2022 to December 2023, he was Commander of the Sparta Battalion, an armed separatist group which has actively supported actions which undermine the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine and further destabilise Ukraine. In taking on and acting in those capacities, he is supporting and implementing actions and policies which undermine and threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

Artem Zhoga est le président du soi-disant “Conseil populaire de la République populaire de Donetsk” depuis le 20 septembre 2023, et l’envoyé plénipotentiaire présidentiel dans le district fédéral de l’Oural depuis le 2 octobre 2024. Depuis le 25 octobre 2024, il est membre du Conseil de sécurité de la Fédération de Russie. Entre mai 2022 et décembre 2023, il a été le commandant du bataillon Sparte, groupe séparatiste armé qui a activement soutenu des actions qui compromettent l’intégrité territoriale, la souveraineté et l’indépendance de l’Ukraine, et déstabilisent davantage l’Ukraine. En assumant ces fonctions et en agissant en ces qualités, il soutient et met en œuvre des actions et des politiques qui compromettent et menacent l’intégrité territoriale, la souveraineté et l’indépendance de l’Ukraine.

As a member of the Security Council, which provides advice on and coordinates national security affairs, he was involved in shaping the policy of the Russian government, which threatens the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District. Assists in organizing and implementing actions and policies that undermine and threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. Former chairman of the People's Council of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic (head of the regional parliament). Actively supports Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine and the Russian authoritarian political regime.
