Andrey Guryev is therefore a leading businessperson operating in Russia and involved in an economic sector providing a substantial source of revenue to the Government of the Russian Federation, which is responsible for the annexation of Crimea and the destabilisation of Ukraine. Furthermore, he is responsible for supporting materially the Government of the Russian Federation, which is responsible for the annexation of Crimea and the destabilisation of Ukraine. Andrey Guryev is a shareholder of PJSC PhosAgro and the President of the Russian Association of Fertiliser Producers (RAPU). As such, he is actively involved in facilitating the export of fertilisers from Russia, in close cooperation with the Russian Government. Russia is the largest exporter of fertilisers in the world and PhosAgro is one of the leading producers of phosphate-based fertilisers.
