Former head of the Republic of Dagestan. Former Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation. Former Deputy Speaker of the State Duma. On 20 Mar 2014, he voted in favour of the draft Federal Constitutional Law “on the acceptance into the Russian Federation of the ‘Republic of Crimea’ and the formation within the Russian Federation of new federal subjects – the ‘Republic of Crimea’ and the City of Federal Status Sevastopol”. Member of the State Duma and leader of the United Russia faction in the State Duma. In that capacity, he participated in the ratification of government decisions on the ‘Treaties of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Russian Federation and the “Donetsk People’s Republic” and between the Russian Federation and the “Luhansk People’s Republic”’. On 3 Oct 2022, Vasilyev supported, in the State Duma, the legislation to annex the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions of Ukraine. Thereby he has actively supported actions and implemented policies which undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, and further destabilised Ukraine.

Ancien chef de la République du Daghestan. Ancien conseiller du président de la Fédération de Russie. Président de la commission permanente de l’Assemblée parlementaire de l’Organisation du traité de sécurité collective en matière de défense et de sécurité. Membre de la Douma d’État et chef du groupe Russie unie à la Douma d’État. En cette qualité, il a participé à la ratification des décisions du gouvernement concernant le “traité d’amitié, de coopération et d’assistance mutuelle entre la Fédération de Russie et la République populaire de Donetsk” et le “traité d’amitié, de coopération et d’assistance mutuelle entre la Fédération de Russie et la République populaire de Louhansk”. Le 3 octobre 2022, Vladimir Vasilyev a soutenu, au sein de la Douma d’État, la législation visant à annexer les régions ukrainiennes de Donetsk, Louhansk, Kherson et Zaporijjia. Il a ainsi activement soutenu des actions et mis en œuvre des politiques qui compromettent ou menacent l’intégrité territoriale, la souveraineté et l’indépendance de l’Ukraine, et il a déstabilisé davantage l’Ukraine.
