Assistant/Aid to the President in National Security Affairs. In May 2013, appointed co-supervisor of the Belarusian-Russian Commission on Potash Exports by his father. As one of his closest collaborators, he has played a key role in the repressive measures implemented against the democratic opposition and civil society. As a key member of the State Security Council, he was responsible for the coordination of repressive measures against the democratic opposition and civil society, in particular in the crackdown of the demonstration on 19 Dec 2010.

In his former position as National Security Advisor to the President and a Member of the Security Council, as well as his informal supervisory position over Belarus security forces, he has been responsible for the repression and intimidation campaign led by the State apparatus in the wake of the 2020 presidential election, in particular arbitrary arrests and ill-treatment, including torture, of peaceful demonstrators as well as intimidation and violence against journalists. He remains active in the Lukashenka regime as the President of the National Olympic Committee. In this position, to which he was appointed on 26 February 2021, he bears responsibility for the mistreatment by the NOC officials of athlete Krystsina Tsimanouskaya during the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

En tant qu’ancien conseiller du président à la sécurité nationale et membre du conseil de sécurité et en raison de son rôle informel dans l’encadrement des forces de sécurité de la Biélorussie, il a été responsable de la campagne de répression et d’intimidation menée par l’appareil d’État à la suite de l’élection présidentielle de 2020, en particulier d’arrestations arbitraires et de mauvais traitements, y compris la torture, de manifestants pacifiques, ainsi que d’intimidations et de violences à l’encontre de journalistes. Il continue de jouer un rôle actif dans le régime de Loukachenka en tant que président du comité national olympique. Dans le cadre de cette fonction, à laquelle il a été nommé le 26 février 2021, il porte une responsabilité dans le mauvais traitement infligé par les responsables du comité national olympique à l’athlète Krystsina Tsimanouskaya lors des Jeux olympiques d’été de 2020 à Tokyo.
