[CH-FIAA-SY] Ordinance on the Freezing of Assets in Connection with Syria (SR 196.127.27) JSONFreezes the Swiss-held assets of former Syrian president Bashar al-Assad and members of his family and entourage under the Foreign Illicit Assets Act, imposed after the fall of the Assad government. The freeze operates independently of the SECO sanctions regime on Syria and ensures the funds cannot leave Switzerland before a judicial review of their origin, with a view to returning illicit assets for the benefit of the Syrian population.
