Targets people and entities involved in activities that threaten the peace, security or stability of Mali. The regime originally gave effect to the UN sanctions regime under Security Council resolution 2374 (2017); after the UN regime expired in August 2023, the UK amended the regulations to continue designations on an autonomous basis. Designated persons are subject to an asset freeze, and designated individuals are barred from entering or transiting the United Kingdom; the regime imposes no goods or services sanctions.
